Are you ready to lead the charge in redefining IT service delivery at AstraZeneca? As the Director of Service Asset Configuration Management, you'll orchestrate the development of strategic relationships with internal IT teams and strategic partners, ensuring that our IT services meet and exceed business expectations. Your mission is to drive service management activities, ensuring services align with Service Level Agreements and business requirements. You'll be at the forefront of developing performance measurement mechanisms to enhance IT's contribution to the business. Accountabilities:
- Define short, medium, and long-term strategies for the CMDB (ServiceNow).
- Chair governance boards focusing on CMDB and asset management.
- Oversee internal audits and manage plans to address findings.
- Implement service asset and configuration policies and standards.
- Engage collaborators to highlight the value of CMS/CMDB.
- Drive improvements in service asset and configuration processes.
- Define priorities and roadmap for ServiceNow and CMDB.
- Ensure continual Service Improvement methodologies are followed.
- Own Service Asset and Configuration Management process across AZ IS.
- Govern asset management using discovery and automation tools.
- Deliver an accurate CMDB and asset register for efficient IS estate management.
- First point of escalation for CMS/CMDB data quality issues.
- Define performance metrics for team management and effective delivery.
- Work with Business Performance team to track benefits case for CMDB.
- Run governance and plan releases for Service Management toolset configuration.
- Develop enhancements, upgrades, and fixes to ServiceNow toolset.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Must have experience operating and maintaining Asset Management and CMDB (ServiceNow Preferred)
- Experience managing and developing Config management strategies in a global organisation
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Experience working and dealing with suppliers and vendors
- Technical knowledge of the ServiceNow platform is an advantage
- Good communication and relationship building skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
- Experience in a globally distributed team environment
- A self-starter with high levels of drive, energy, resilience and ability to take the initiative
- Ability to analyse requests or issues and provide the best possible solution
- Ability to prioritize, re-schedule or adapt to changes
- Ability to make decisions in pressure situations
- Ability to work well in diverse, multinational teams and demonstrable ability to influence others to achieve positive outcomes
- ITIL training (preferred)
- Experience managing services and projects in an agile DevOps environment (preferred)
- Business Analysis experience
- Influencing and Innovation skills
- Good interpersonal skills and facilitation skills with the ability to work with others to achieve objectives
- Good written and verbal skills, fluent English
- High level of customer focus
